Accelerate moderately while keeping eye down the road, you might get any speed breaker or hard turn so as to avoid braking which is a waste of energy.
Clean your air filter timely. As dirty air filter does not provide sufficient air to the engine and will further decrease the efficiency.
Maintain the air pressure of the tyre. Because under-inflated tires have greater rolling friction which will require more work from the engine and will effect efficiency.
Avoid using A/C it will save fuel and is also not good for health but only at low speed. At higher speed A/C will be more efficient than the wind resistance from open windows and sunroof.
